ℹ Creeping Thyme ‘Coccineus’ (Thymus serphyllum, also known as Thymus praecox) is a fast spreading, low growing groundcover ideal for hot, sunny, and dry areas. Forming a dense mat just 1 inch tall, it helps suppress weeds while thriving in poor, well drained soil where other plants struggle. This drought tolerant variety requires minimal water and very little maintenance once established, making it a great option for low care landscapes or as a lawn alternative in smaller spaces.
Soft green foliage releases a pleasant fragrance when walked on or brushed, adding sensory appeal to paths and garden areas. In early summer, it produces masses of rich pink flowers known for their strong colour. Perfect between stepping stones, along pathways, or spilling over rock features, this deer resistant groundcover performs best in full sun with excellent drainage.
