ℹ Aurora Honeyberry is a highly productive and easy to grow haskap variety known for its large, flavourful fruit and excellent cold hardiness. Early in spring, the plants produce soft yellow blooms, often among the first to appear in the garden, followed by plump blue berries that ripen in late spring to early summer. The fruit offers a balanced sweet and tangy flavour, often compared to a blend of blueberry and raspberry, and is ideal for fresh eating, baking, preserves, smoothies, and more.
As one of the earliest berries to harvest, Aurora can begin producing as early as May or June. This hardy shrub grows well in full sun to partial shade and adapts easily to a wide range of soil types and pH levels. Known for its strong yields and larger berry size, Aurora is a reliable choice for home growers. For best pollination and fruit set, pair with varieties such as Borealis, Polar Jewel, or Indigo Gem.
