Product Details
Dragon’s Tongue is a striking Dutch-heirloom bush bean that produces flat, 6–8″ creamy-yellow pods streaked with vivid purple stripes that deepen in the sun, yet remain tender, juicy and entirely stringless when picked young; the compact, high-yield plants mature in about 55–60 days and continue producing across a long harvest window, while the flavor delivers a sweet, buttery richness and satisfying snap, and the pods can be used fresh as snap beans or allowed to mature and shelled for dry beans — and though the purple markings fade to buttery yellow when cooked, the tender texture and nutty, starchy-bean quality remain, making this variety ideal for growers and chefs who want both beauty and culinary versatility.
