Product Details

Ruby Ball cabbage forms compact, firm heads of deep purple‑red leaves (about 6–8″ wide and typically 3–4 lbs) with a smooth, mildly sweet flavor that works beautifully raw, pickled, or cooked. It matures quickly — about 60–65 days in warm season plantings and up to 95 days in cooler conditions. One of its best features: it holds exceptionally well in the garden without splitting, giving you weeks of harvest flexibility. It has good disease resistance (including black rot) and produces very uniform, tight heads with excellent internal quality. The rich color and sweet crunch make it a standout in slaws, braises, or as a vibrant pickling cabbage.
