Product Details

Gherking is a vigorous, high-yield pickling cucumber that delivers firm, dark-green, 3–5″ cylindrical fruits with crisp texture and no bitterness — even if a few are left a bit larger. Its vines benefit from trellising, which supports its strength and helps keep the fruit clean as the plants mature. This variety is parthenocarpic (produces lots of female flowers), so it sets fruit reliably even without pollinators. It’s designed for pickling — the skin is slightly spined but holds up beautifully through processing — but the crunchy bite also works fresh out of the garden. With a relatively short maturity of around 55–60 days, it's ideal for both picklers and gardeners who want a dependable, early cucumber crop.
