Dhaliwal Farms Grower Spotlight
In Oliver, BC, the Dhaliwal family has been shaping the land since the early 1990s, when Gary and Parmjeet Dhaliwal immigrated from Punjab, India, and began farming a modest orchard under the South Okanagan sun. Over time, with their sons alongside them, they grew their operation into Dhaliwal Family Farms, also known locally as Sunview Market, producing peaches, apricots, cherries, apples, grapes, tomatoes, peppers, squash, garlic, melons, and walnuts. Their approach has always been rooted in responsible growing, careful soil management, and respect for the land, taking advantage of the Okanagan’s long hot days, cool nights, and sandy soils that produce unmatched flavor and sweetness. Beyond their own orchards, the family’s impact has extended through ventures like Agri-Pak Packaging Ltd. and Sunny Valley Fruit, supporting packing, distribution, and a wider network of growers. Three decades later, Sunview remains a family legacy built on stewardship, quality, and the belief that farming is both a livelihood and a responsibility to community and land.
